Operating Environment of the Included Software Products

The operating environment of included software products are shown below.

Host machine IBM PC/AT compatibles

OS Windows Me, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP

CPU Pentium II 233 MHz or greater is recommended

Memory 128M bytes or greater is recommended

Installing the Included Software Products

(1) Emulator debugger M3T-PD30M Installation

If using Windows XP/2000 as the host machine OS, have M3T-PD30M installed by someone

of administrator access level. Installation cannot be completed by users with lower access

level status.

*Working from Windows Explorer, start up "setup.exe" in the \PD30M\W95E folder on the

CD-ROM. Then, install the software as instructed by the displayed messages.

* Install the USB device driver as described below. To install the driver, you need to install the

M3T-PD30M beforehand.

1. Connect the host machine and the compact emulator using the USB cable.

2. Turn on the compact emulator.

3. The USB device is detected and the wizard to install the device driver starts up.

By following the instructions, a dialog box to specify a setup information file (inf file) will open.

Then specify the file “musbdrv.inf” in the directory where the M3T-PD30M is installed (e.g.

c:\mtool\pdxx\drivers).

(2) C Compiler M3T-NC30WA Installation

If the original version M3T-NC30WA is already installed, do NOT install the M3T-NC30WA

(Entry version) included with this product and use the original M3T-NC30WA.

*Working from Windows Explorer, start up "setup.exe" in the \NC30WA\W95E folder on the

CD-ROM. Then, install the software as instructed by the displayed messages.

(3) Integrated Development Environment TM Installation

If the original version TM is already installed, do NOT install the TM included with this

product and use the original TM.

*Working from Windows Explorer, start up "setup.exe" in the \TM\W95E folder on the CD-

ROM. Then, install the software as instructed by the displayed messages.

(4) Acrobat

Reader Installation

Electronic manuals are included in the software package. Acrobat Reader is needed to view

these manuals. Acrobat Reader is in the Acrobat folder on the CD-ROM, so install it as neces-

sary. The latest version of Acrobat Reader can be downloaded from Adobe Systems website at

http://www.adobe.com/.

Precautions for Using the Included Software Products

(1) Emulator debugger M3T-PD30M

*A release note is installed in the \PD30M\RNOTE folder on the CD-ROM. Read it before using

the software.

(2) C compiler M3T-NC30WA (Entry version)

*A release note is installed in the \NC30WA\RNOTE folder on the CD-ROM. Read it before

using the software.

* An explanation about the entry version appears for about over 10 seconds when you startup the

M3T-NC30WA for the first time each day. This explanation does not appear later within the day.

(3) Integrated Development Environment TM

*A release note is installed in the \TM\RNOTE folder on the CD-ROM. Read it before using the

software.
