 IPMC subsystem based on a Renesas H8S/2168 microcontroller that provides an interface

to the ATCA IPMB-0 bus

 Event inputs—four optically isolated general-purpose inputs

 Telco alarm interface

• Four dry contact relay alarm notification outputs

• Two optically isolated differential reset inputs for major and minor alarm events

 Shelf interfaces

• Detection of the proper installation of the air filter

• Communication to temperature sensors at air inlet

• Shelf display panel (SDP) controls

 RTM interface

• Zone 3 connector to ATCA-2100 SCM (ATCA-5000 only)

• PMC I/O Module (PIM) standard daughter card interface

 Shelf Manager Interface

• Provides interface for processor-based daughter card that can be used for shelf

management

• Is mutually exclusive with PIM—only one can be used at a time

 Connection to iButton
