3.1.3 System Reset Switch

The system reset switch has dual functions. Not only does it initialize the target MCU, but it also

establishes maintenance mode to execute the self-check, etc. when pressed within two seconds after

power-on.

If you do not press the switch within two seconds after power-on, the emulator PC4701U and the

target MCU are initialized directly, and ready to accept command input for the emulator debugger

M3T-PDxx. Table 3.3 lists the functions of the system reset switch.

Function

Switched to maintenance mode. Then, as you press the switch a second time,

the self-check is executed.

After execution of the self-check, the system waits for command input from the

emulator debugger M3T-PDxx.

* When the emulator PC4701U is in maintenance mode and the emulator

debugger M3T-PDxx is started up, a dialog box prompting to download firm-

ware is displayed. Download the latest firmware file as needed.

Target MCU is initialized after forcibly halting execution of the target program.
