Chapter 4. Usage

4.1 Turning On the Power

(1) Checking Connections of the Emulator System

Before turning the power ON, check the connections of the PC4701, emulation pod, converter board

and user system.

(2) Turning ON/OFF the Power

• Turn on the power of the emulator and user system as simultaneously as possible.

• Turn off the power of the emulator and user system as simultaneously as possible.

• Do not leave either the emulator or user system powered on, because of leakage current the internal

circuits may be damaged.

• When turning on the power again after shutting off the power, wait about 10 seconds.

CAUTION

Notes on Power Supply:

• The Vcc terminal of the emulator is connected to the user system to observe the voltage

of the user system. Therefore design your system so that the user system is powered by

an external power supply.

• The voltage of the user system should be within the MCU's specified range.

•Do not change the voltage of the user system after turning on the power.
