In what circumstances should I check the following box in the MCU tag in the Init dialog of the emulator debugger?
Debug the program using the Watchdog Timer.
A.
Check this box if the user program uses the MCU watchdog timer function. Leave the box unchecked when debugging a user
program that does not use the watchdog timer.
Checking the above box instructs the emulator to periodically write to the watchdog timer start register and refresh the watchdog
timer when the user program is temporarily stopped (by pushing the stop button or executing a step). In other words, by checking
the "Debug the program using the Watchdog Timer" Box, you can prevent the watchdog timer from generating an interrupt during
the debug operation, even when the target is not running.
Please note that if you check this box when debugging a program that does not use the watchdog timer, the program will not run
properly.
