I am using the PDxx emulator debugger on my notebook PC. And I use the serial interface for the emulator connection. Sometimes,

while I am using the RAM monitor window, my target program hangs up. Does the PDxx debugger have a compatibility problem

with my PC? Do I have to have a special setting for my OS version?

Please disable the power management function (or similar function) in your notebook PC. If your power management function is

initiated, the RAM monitor function of the debugger will be suspended and the emulator will no longer be able to manage the proper

operations.

If your notebook PC does not have a disable feature for the power management, please use an interface connection other than the

serial interface. If this still doesn't solve the problem, please use a desktop PC.

The RAM monitor function samples and monitors the target program data transactions of the target system RAM for a certain

period. The amount of data transaction between the PC and the emulator depends on this sampling period and the monitoring RAM

sizes. The following methods may be effective for working around your problem.

Monitoring the necessary area with the ASM watch window (reduces the monitoring RAM sizes)1.

Extending the RAM monitor sampling period2.
